Fridays...

are hands down the best day of the week. Fridays for me mean alarm clock off. After the last snooze and just before I put my feet on the carpet to shuffle to the shower I get to turn the alarm clock off for two beautiful scared days. Fridays also mean scones and coffee with my sweetie. He takes me into work that day and we enjoy Great Harvest marionberry scones and triple venti vanilla lattes at Starbucks (where it is like Cheers, everyone knows my name, my drink how many shots to put in base by my smile or lack thereof). But this isn't it, there is more. After work, David comes to get me (bless him) and we enjoy dinner at either India Place (naan makes me super happy) or if we feel like seafood we'll go to McGrath's. It is lovely, and I look forward to it all week. This Friday had even one more layer of wonderful-ness for me. David said it was time for new clogs, and he bought me these, and a really cute pair I can't find a link for but I love them and I plan to sleep in them tonight. *super huge grins* My David love me. *beams* It is a very good Friday.

I am my own worst enemy

Why do I think it is a good idea to stay up alone and watch shows like Ghost Hunters? I am such a chicken. The room I am sleeping in has creepy little midget doors and I am now convinced something sinister is lurking behind both of them waiting to get me. Damn it.

My Turn

I finally got sick. The small office I work in has been passing cooties around for the last few months. At any given time at least one person in the office is sick. I had dodged it successfully until just recently. My poor sweetie got sick and was out for a week. I guess it was only logical that I came down with something next. So here I am, I feel like a giant bag of snot. I just hope it goes away soon. I would like to have my wits about me again.

Praise the Heavens...

...it is Friday! Alarm clock OFF! It has been a really really really stressful week at work. First there was a big response due that needed to be prepared and filed in federal court. It is on one of our larger cases, and it had to be filed both in person and online. So there was all kinds of coordinating being done. I put in some work time last weekend just to make what needed to be completed during the week a little easier. It got done, and the client was very impressed with the work done. That is always a compliment to the attorney and his support staff, and much needed after the whirlwind of work done. The boss is getting ready to be out of town for two weeks, so the stress of him clearing his desk and wanting to get things done before he is gone is in full play. There has been some tension in the office lately that has been making things that much harder. I am sooo ready for the weekend. I think I'm going to spend some time doing home stuff, and I think I'm going to see if I can level my priest some. She needed to be a new level now. It is time.

I Do Not Understand

So I'm driving into work yesterday, and I'm following a car with "Bumpernuts" dangling from the back. I found this disturbing, and then a little irritating. First of all, they were sort of a translucent blue green color. And second, the car they were attached to was a beat up piece of crap with a largeish looking mad with dark hair that looked like, well, it make me think of Gene Simmons. So as I'm driving I can't help but wonder what this person is trying to say. Surely that POS can't "own the road" even if it has alien reproductive parts hanging from the back (because no human should have blue green parts that are not eyeballs). Then I wondered if this person is looking for a car with a pair of female reproductive parts hung for display. Does that even exist? It all just disturbs me. At least it made the drive into work less dull.

Checking In

Wow, I'm bad at blogging. I was hoping I'd be able to do some some from my much adored iPhone, but alas it doesn't ever want to publish what I write. Since Elfy and I are no longer raiding (which we are still happy and sad about) I've had more time to read, fix puzzles, watch movies, see my sister, get caught up on favorite tv shows, and level new characters. I feel bad, we haven't played much lately. Work has just been sucking the life out of me, tension in the office and massive deadlines makes for a very drained and brain dead Chala.

The writers strike is ruining my tv fun. I miss my tv shows and I desire them to return with new, witty episodes. Promptly.

I recently read "World Without End" by Ken Follet, the follow up to "The Pillars of the Earth" and loved it!! The only complaint I had was that the female characters were too obviously written by a man. They seemed lacking in dimension, and were a little too irritating/slutty/whiny. Even the main female character seemed disjointed. But having said that, it is a wonderful read and regardless of what I didn't like that book is great. And that is all I will say about that.

Ugh, to work I must migrate. /moo
